The old man started working night shift about three weeks ago. I have discovered many good and a couple not so good things about it.
The Good:
1. I get more done around the house. I get all the dinner dishes done, a couple loads of laundry done, and get organized for the next day. This is hard for me to do since I end up watching tv or talking with the old man.
2. I get to watch more of my shows. We have a tv routine when the old man is home. It revolves around his biggest tv crush, Penny from the Big Bang Theory. Don't get me wrong I like the Big Bang Theory, but three hours of drooling over Penny is more than I can take sometimes. I love shows Downton Abbey, Jerseylicious, and more recently The Client List. I might get him to watch one, but that would be pushing it. My only tv pass is NCIS and NCIS:LA.
3. I'm eating way less. The old man likes to snack. His job is very physical so he can eat a ton of snacks. He burns it off. I don't! I still on my butt all day. I walk at lunch, but not enough to eat 1,000 calories why laying in bed each night.
The Bad:
The kids miss their Dad terribly. They never see him. He is sleeping when they get up and he is gone by the time we get home. They have been acting up so bad.
The worst part is I miss him. I miss laughing with him. I miss scratching his back. I miss hearing his snoring.
I'm ready for the old man to go back to day shift!!!
