Friday is the day!!! Summer will FINALLY be here!
I committed to the #100bysummer challenge with TIU. I will be just short of it, unless I walk twice tomorrow or Friday. I might just have to do that so I can make it. I'm super proud of myself. 100 miles is a lot of ground!!! I cannot put into words the imprint Tone It Up has made on my life!
I completed my first challenge with Tribesports.com today. It was the Run Three Times A Week For Four Weeks. It was so exciting to hit that completed button. I am currently still doing three other challenges. I am doing the 30 Day Squat and 30 Day Crunch challenges. I threw in Kegels too, but there isn't a challenge for that move. Anyone who has kids knows how important these are. I will have these challenges completed by the 30th! Woop Woop! I'm planning on committing to and completing at least 4 new challenges in July and August. I'm also determined to at least give hot yoga a try. THIS IS MY SUMMER!!!
I am going to see my sister in law on Sunday. She has a scale so I'll update you all then on my weight loss progress. It's amazing how good this healthy fitness stuff feels!!!
Summer also brings the yearly trip to see the Grandparents for a few weeks. My oldest three are so lucky! This year I get the privilege of flying up to Alaska with them and actually staying the weekend. I'm so excited. I know I will miss my babies for those two days. But I have not been able to see where my parents live yet. It's going to be a hard weekend for my babies, but they will have their Dad and their big sister to help them through it. I'm going to miss the big kids so much for the four weeks they are gone. But I know they are making memories that will last a lifetime!!!

Another 5 bites the dust.....
I've lost another 5 pounds bringing my total weight loss to 15 pounds in the last 2 months. I'm halfway to my goal of 30 pounds. I'm so excited to be seeing results. I have been walking at lunch for a long time now. I was getting so flustered that I wasn't seeing any results. I started toning and watching what I've been eating. I've cut out most coffee and all soda.
I do have a coffee every once in a while. However since I've been drinking my Matcha Protein Shakes in the morning and my green tea in the afternoon I haven't even had a craving for some coffee. I had my first cup in a week yesterday and realized I really don't miss it. That's a big deal for Ms. Starbucks Obsessed.
The biggest contribution to these accomplishments is ToneItUp.com. I don't know what I would do without my two fav personal trainers. They are amazing. The best thing about TIU is that the workouts are free. They set up a monthly calendar and email you a weekly schedule. The workouts are hard (at least for me), but the girls make it fun and totally achievable. They mix it up and it is never boring. Their app is amazing too.
Soda has always been a hard thing for me to give up. I recently read an article about the amount of sugar in a 12 ounce can of coke. The article mentioned that one can of Coke has 100 times the amount of sugar you should consume for a day. It also mentioned that they add a chemical to soda to prevent you from vomiting because your body cannot handle that much sugar. No wonder we have so such a weight/sugar issue in the US. Can you even remotely fathom that???
I have also stopped using sugar to sweeten my tea. I'm still absolutely hooked on PG Tips, my old English standby. I was trying to use Stevia instead of sugar. But it does have an odd taste. I can deal with the taste in cold beverages, but not in a cup of hot English tea. I started using Agave Nectar. I love it. It doesn't have a funny taste. I use the light flavor. They have dark and amber which I've heard tastes like maple syrup.
Time to get back to work. I'll update you all soon!!
HAPPY MONDAY LUVS!!!!!
