So it's two days until my iPhone 6 Plus finally arrives. I have been waiting since I pre-ordered it on Sept 12th. I was originally given a shipping date of 11/9-11/27. I have the case and screen protector ready. I decided to get the 128g in gold. I have the 64g 5s right now, but have maxed it out. How you ask? 5,500 plus pictures that's how. When you have kids you take a ton of pictures and videos. I have a ton of kids, so I take 5 times as many pictures as anyone else I know. I'm looking forward to a few things on the 6 plus. First, the rotating home page....bout freakin time!!! Second, a large screen....duh! The screen on the 6 plus is literally the size of the whole front of the 5s. Third, added apple apps such as iBooks. I would have never put this app on my 5s, but the 6 plus actually has a screen that could be conducive to reading a book on it. I'm hoping they also include newsstand. Actual magazines are a thing of the past. I'm also hoping since Pages and Numbers are standard on the 6 plus, there will also be apps for Word and Excel. As much as I love all Apple's products, I can't get away from Word or Excel. I still have to use them for my work.
Just look at the difference between my phone case now and the phone case for the 6 plus. I am just realizing how dirty my current phone case is. I am always on my phone.

Running and Tough Mudder
Ok so I've been slacking in my running! I feel miserable physically and mentally. I dug out my 100 miles per month checklist and am hitting the pavement today. I feel like such a different person when I am consistently running. I've notice how much I have let things bother me lately because I have no outlet. Running is my outlet, my therapy, my happy drug!
On top of starting to run again, my sister and I are going to do the Tough Mudder next year. I'm a little scared. Actually, I am very scared. I have absolutely no upper arm strength. Now begins the training process! I ordered a Bosu and a chin up bar. Luckily the Tough Mudder website has training plans so I can be totally guided through the whole training process. And I have a year to get ready!!! Woop Woop!!! What a great cause and one that is so very dear to my heart! I'm excited to be one of the Mudders!!!

Dependent on Technology
I finally set up all my email accounts on my Mac. I have 5 of them. Yes, 5; 3 for work and 2 personal. It's amazing how dependent we are on email. There are very few people I want to talk to on the phone or in person. Not because I don't like them, but because of my lack of time. I'd rather sent a text or an email. After this sales process is over, I am going to take one week off of technology and detox. I thought it was ridiculous the time I spent on email regarding work. But I didn't realize that real estate is a 24/7 business.

Exciting Times
Life is so busy and exciting right now. My real estate career is blossoming, I finally got a MacBook Pro, and I finally got my car back from the repair shop.
I am loving real estate. At this point, we have closed 6 homes (5 in July, 1 in August) and we have 8 homes pending. We have 4 more homes closing this month, which will make 5 closed for August. And it's only the 11th, so there could be more.
I started my own Zillow page at http://www.zillow.com/profile/jenavivewa/. It's still missing a picture. I need to get one done, but I'm not sure where I'm gonna find the time.
I finally got a MacBook Pro and yes I'm addicted. The super amazing cool thing is that I partitioned the hard drive to run Windows thanks to Boot Camp. Apple really does think of everything don't they!

How the heck is it July already???
And yes I've been MIA again!!!
Life is crazy. Work is amazing (4 homes closed, 5 homes pending, 6 homes active). Home is amazing. Family is amazing. I'm amazing. Lots of mental/spiritual growth happening.
I would love an assistant to handle a few things here or there. But I'll manage somehow.

Physical and Spiritual Growth in 7 weeks
For the next seven weeks I will be embarking on two different series. Tone It Up's Bikini Series will guide my physical growth and May Cause Miracles will guide my spiritual growth.
On the physical front, I have pretty much met or surpassed my goals over the last year. I'm past my goal weight, I have two 5ks under my belt, and I've jogged a 100 miles a month a couple times. Now it's time to set up my next fitness goals. I want to tone up and I want to run my next 5k in 30 mins or less. When it comes to cardio, I have this thing on lock. 😆. But I have no clue on how to consistently tone up. I have set a conscious goal to start lifting weights. But I can never seem to fit it in. Tone It Up has some great series to guide you along. The best part for me is that you can do it all at home any time of day. I also plan on putting the Bombshell Spell back into my morning routine. It helped so much when I first started on my fitness journey.
On the spiritual side, I have started reading "May Cause Miracles" by Gabrielle Bernstein. This is a 42 day series that shows you how to turn your inward thoughts to love. I have become a fan of Gabby's books over the last couple months. There is so much negativity in the world. Every where we look all there appears to be is negativity. Negativity is the cancer of the soul. It will take everything good and minimize and manipulate it. It uses the news, people, and circumstances to infect your mindset. I have always believed Happiness is self inflicted. You have to choose to be happy. If you don't actively and consciously choose happiness or love, you choose negativity as a default. I have watched negativity take people I deeply love and turn them into people I barely recognize. I have watched it take strong people and make them weak, bitter, and broken. And it has done the same to me at one point or another in my life. I know her books have personal made a mark on me and I'm excited to see what 42 days of praying, meditation, and further soul searching brings.
I will try to share my journey with both of these series.

Clam Digging Adventure 2014
And what an adventure it was......
First off, I hate seafood. I don't dislike it, I don't not care for it, I HATE IT. I hate the smell, the look, the feel - HATE IT. With that being said, I can tolerate the fact that other people enjoy it. And I must admit that sometimes I wish I liked it too. I also wish the Spice Girls never broke up, but what's a girl gonna do??!!
We decided to take our four and three year old to experience their (and my) first clam dig. Based on the following experience, I don't regret waiting until 34 to go clam digging. We woke up (or I woke up) at 5 am to get everything packed up for our little trip. I checked out the weather report hoping the 100% chance of rain had turned in to 100% chance of sun. Apparently, mother nature did process my request from the night before. The goal (made by our fearless leader) was to be in the car and on the road by 6 am. We were in the car and on the road by 7 am.
The trip out to the coast was 2 hours and 34 minutes (according to MapQuest.) At first, I was told the low tide was at 11. So we needed to be there by 9 am, but had to be off the beach by noon. Actually, it was at 10:17. I figured the kids would fall back asleep once in the car. WRONG! Who knew they would turn in to the biggest gabbers on the planet at 7 am in the morning. They barely want to get out of bed at 7:30 on a school day.
About an hour and a half into the trip, it was discovered that the clam gun was still in the other car!
- When someone tells you to bring one change of clothes for after, bring at least three.
- You will probably spend a lot of time in the car, so bring more than one movie for the dvd player.
- Bring twice as many plastic bags as you think you need
- Heaters don't only keep you warm, but can also dry out clothing
- Just because it's North Face, does not mean it's water proof
- The kids will not take a nap while on an adventure like this no matter how early you wake them up
- Moms need a change of clothes too, actually we probably need two!
- And finally, THANK GOD FOR MY IPAD AIR WITH 3G service (when you can get reception that is). Luckily, I had a few books I've been dying to read so I did have something to occupy my mind when there was no reception.

My first 5k
Sunday was the day. My first 5k. I still can't believe I did it. A year ago, I would have never dreamed of doing a 5k. But here I am completely hooked. On Saturday, I picked up my bib from Seattle Center.

I woke up on Sunday to pouring rain. We ended up leaving about 30 minutes later than we planned. Once we got downtown, we actually found a great place to park. Only to find out the payment station wasn't taking cards or cash. So we started looking for parking again. Finally 10 minutes before the race, I jumped out of the car to let the man find parking. I rushed to the starting line still trying to attach my bib to my shirt and the tracking tag to my shoe. I finally got to the starting line. I was able to get my sensor synced and my playlist going right before the horn sounded.

There were so many people! The run was great. Although, I underestimated the incline of 99 up to Canalis. I crossed the finish line completely drenched. I looked down to see what my time was. But my shoes were so soaked that the sensor dropped it's connection with my phone. By my rough estimates, I figured I took 41 minutes. I wasn't thrilled with my time. Especially since I had been running 9 min miles for the last two weeks. I headed to the Post Dash Bash where I got to met Detlef and take a picture with him.

I always knew he was super tall but he is unbelievably tall in person.
The times from our tracking tags finally uploaded on line so I decided to take a look.

I was so happy when I saw my time. I'm pretty proud of myself. A year ago I started out walking the pace of a turtle.
Monday morning my new pair of shoes were delivered.

My other shoes had reached their maximum mileage. I thought it only proper to retire my old faithful shoes.

Their last hurrah was my first 5k. These shoes has jogged over 500 miles in the last seven months. They have been with me from 15 minute miles to 9 minute miles. They have been with me through over 30 pounds of weight loss. Some days I wanted to cry from aching hips and hamstrings and some days I was jumping off clouds.
I'm looking forward to the accomplishments I make with my new shoes. I have already scheduled my next 5k. It is the Seahawks Run in April. I have four other 5k's I plan on registering for.
