Updates on Goals.....Goodbye November

I can't believe November is almost gone.  I can't believe tomorrow it will be December.  Where did this year go??  On the first on November I set these goals:







  • Jog 75 miles (16 days of jogging 4.5 miles; four days a week)



  • Walk 400,000 steps (that’s 100,000 steps a week)



  • Complete the 30 day abs and squat challenge (Tribesports)



  • Complete the November #photoaday challenge



  • Complete the 30 day yoga challenge (Tribesports/DoYouYoga.com)











  • Here is how I did:









    • I jogged 77.51 miles (15 days of jogging; average 4.3 miles per jog)



    • I did not make my step goal.  This was because my flex decided to die the second week of the month. :-(  I just started using my zip again until I can figure out what the hell is going on with my flex.



    • I completed the 30 day abs and squat challenge (Tribesports).  I also did lunges.  So I finished with 250 squats, 250 crunches and 240 lunges.



    • I did not complete the November #photoaday challenge.  I never do no matter how hard I try. 



    • I did not complete the 30 day yoga challenge.








    Even though I only completed 2 out of 6 goals I am still proud of myself.  I did make some pretty big accomplishments. 







    I hit the 500 mile mark this month.  I have walked over 500 miles since March.  I also have shaved some time off my averages.  (This is the subject of another post)







    I got up to level 11 on Fitocracy.







    I only had three Egg Nog Lattes.  This is a huge deal for me!







    I finally reached a single digit pant size.  I have been focused more on size than weight.  But I have lost over 30 pounds since March.  I have done this all through hard work and changing my eating habits.







    Now that November is almost over, it's time to focus on my December goals.  I'm excited to see what the new month has in store for me!

    November is my favorite month!!!

    November is finally here.  Another reminder that this year has flown by.  It seems the years go by faster and faster the older I get.  November is my favorite month for a few reasons.  The first reason is Thanksgiving.  Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday.  Its the only holiday that doesn’t have any expectations except to realize all of your blessings in life.  Another reason is that it is officially sweater, legging, and rain boot season.  I like the sun, but I do not love hot weather.  I am a layer-er.  I’d rather have a shirt and a sweater than to walk around in a tank top.  Plus I really love my hunter boots and north face vest, so anytime I can wear them I’m pretty much content.  November is also when it starts being acceptable to drink hot coffee again.  And my arch waistline nemesis starts being sold in November…..the dreaded EGG NOG LATTE.  This is the single item that can potential make me gain all 30 pounds I’ve lost over the spring/summer.  Especially since I don’t like it cut with milk.  I love it with 100% full fat EGG NOG.  That will have to change this year though.  Since it is the first of November, it is time to set my goals for this month.  So here they are:
