My first nite home with Isaiah

Tonight is my first night home with Isaiah. Even though I brought Angelina home only 11 months ago, it seems like forever since I've had a newborn.

Its been an interesting evening watching Angelina adjust to her little brother! It's clear that she is jealous of all the mommy time he is getting. However, she is concerned when he crys. I sat on the floor with Isaiah and allowed her to touch him at her level. She was very gentle with him. Touching him with a finger or patting his back and leg with her hand.

At 8 pm, I put Angelina to bed. She was exhausted ; rubbing her eyes and yawning! She started crying and screaming!!!! So I put Isaiah down to settle her down, then he started crying. I was tag teamed crying for about 2 hours.

Angelina finally fell asleep. And I was able to spend some time with Isaiah. He was so hungry and my milk had not come in yet. I ended up giving him 2 oz of formula. I might regret that later, but I can't watch my little man starve. After vigorously finish his little bottle, he passed out.

They both did exceptionally well through the night. Isaiah woke up a few times to nurse and Angelina slept through the night!
